A summary of my interview

I couldn’t upload the original interview, because it got lost somewhere. But I’m going to talk about it and say the most important things about my interview. I interviewed a very special person in my life, my husband. I asked him some of the things that had to do with his career. He is studying Pedagogía en Educacion Fisica, he’s in second year and he loves what he is studying. I know it might not get people’s attention, but for me it is important to tell about him, he is one of the people I really admire.
One of the questions I asked him was about his future as a teacher. He’s got lots of plans for his life and it amazes me the way he sees his future. One of his dreams are becoming a father, becoming a good teacher and maybe study something else after he finishes his studies.
We also talked about his favorite sports which include tennis, voleyball and soccer of course. He’s very fond of sports, I think it’s the second thing he loves the most in this world.
I hope you like the things I have told about my love. He is a very special human. He is the person that makes me laugh and laugh and he is the one that takes my worries and sorrow out from my heart and mind.

Have a nice day!!! And remember love will never die. Thank God for this wonderful gift that you have given us.

"Ironies of life"

Katty was a girl as intelligent as any other child. But there was something that made her be different to the other children, she was special. She was special in a way that made her classmates ignore her. It wasn’t her fault, but it did hurt her the way people treated her. She was a black girl around only white people.
She came to America with her family when she was 2 years old, they came from South Africa, where life was very difficult. She soon learned English and went to school. The problem was that they were the only black family in town. Some people treated them badly and insult them just for being black.
One day, coming back from school she heard a noise from a street, she didn’t want to go, she was afraid. Then she heard that it was a kid screaming. She run as fast as she could. She found a little boy crying, but it wasn’t a normal boy either. When he noticed she was there to comfort him, he smiled. Katty asked him was his name was. He didn’t understand anything, he didn’t speak English.
Katty decided she had to do something to help the boy. At first, when they were both kids, it didn’t really matter how old he was. She decided to call him Josh. He was a very cute boy with blue eyes. His parents left him in the street because they couldn’t support him with food. Katty told her family about it and they decided to take care of the boy.
He grew up very quickly and soon he was taller than katty. She didn’t care about her classmates’ insults anymore. She had Josh to watch out for her. They were good friends. Katty discovered that Josh was more intelligent than any other young man in town. He wanted to become a doctor. He knew things without haven’t even read them. He worked hard to get the money and go to a city where he could study medicine. He wanted to help katty’s family, and he wanted to help katty the most.
He went to the nearest city and started working and study. Years passed, and he wrote Katty a letter every day to let her know how things were doing. They started to feel different about each other and decided to talk about it. She went to the city where he was living. He was waiting for her holding a beautiful red rose in his hand. They talked for about 2 hours and then he told her that he loved her. He told her that she was the reason why he wanted to become a better person. She never felt as happy as that day. They decided to get married, they didn’t care about the society or what people would say.
He became a very famous doctor, they had their first child and called her Katherine. She never thought that finding that little boy in that street would have changed her life in so many ways.
They were happy ever after.

The end

Newspaper Article

"Calories Do Count "

I chose an article from the New York Times newspaper. The article is about health and specially calories. I found it in http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/29/dining/29calories.html?em.

The article talks about calories and the way people's interest in calories is affecting their diet. It says that people usually don't care much about calories when they're young. But it starts to be a problem when we grow up.

You can find evidences of calories everywhere, and if you buy a product you can see its calories properties in front of the packages. It is easier than before to know which product is best for eating or drinking.

Restaurants, Starbucks, and other coffee shops are now giving information about the calories that may be found on foods or drinks. Reducing calories is starting to become popular in many companies and it doesn't seem to be affecting sales says Kim Severson from the New York Times.

New words:

Harsh: some synonyms are "hard", "abusive"

Dose: "portion", "prescription", and "quantity" are some other words to describe "dose".

Persona Poem

Dámaris...

Boring, funny, intelligent, loving.

Wife of Jonatan

Who loves mom, singing, and kissing.

Who is afraid of loneliness, dad's forgetfulness, and pain.

Who wants to see Jesus, her dad and her husband in the U.S.

Resident of Chillan, and heaven in time.

Gallardo.

Plagiarism

I think plagiarism is a very serious problem. I never thought that it would be something so serious, because we are not actually told about this when we are in high school or in elementary school.

When I was living in the U.S. I started to notice that they really care a lot about this subject, and they don’t take or borrow somebody else’s idea. The Chilean culture is not really awared about plagiarism.

I think plagiarism is a very bad way to do homeworks or any other work, because when we’re asked to write about something, we should be able to say what we think, not what other person thinks. Plagiarism is a bad thing, there’s no doubt about it.
I chose answer "c".

Excellent way to express my feelings

Simple words are needed

Something that comes to your mind

And you keep in your heart

You only need to let your words fly

****Miss, I know my assignment was late, I just wanted to publish this to have it in my blog... ****

The interview I liked the most

The interview I liked the most was Javier's. I liked it because it was made to a person not from Chile, and almost all of us made an interview to a Chilean person. Javier talked about one thing that I'd love to do, and that's travelling. I'd love to go somewhere else and live there. I find it very exiting.

I learned that everybody feels their experiences in a different way, and trying new things is something that scares a lot, but is worth trying.
