Newspaper Article

"Calories Do Count "

I chose an article from the New York Times newspaper. The article is about health and specially calories. I found it in http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/29/dining/29calories.html?em.

The article talks about calories and the way people's interest in calories is affecting their diet. It says that people usually don't care much about calories when they're young. But it starts to be a problem when we grow up.

You can find evidences of calories everywhere, and if you buy a product you can see its calories properties in front of the packages. It is easier than before to know which product is best for eating or drinking.

Restaurants, Starbucks, and other coffee shops are now giving information about the calories that may be found on foods or drinks. Reducing calories is starting to become popular in many companies and it doesn't seem to be affecting sales says Kim Severson from the New York Times.

New words:

Harsh: some synonyms are "hard", "abusive"

Dose: "portion", "prescription", and "quantity" are some other words to describe "dose".
